SUPERVALU PHARMACIES and the National Headache Foundation Partner to Fight Migraine Headache Organizations join forces to raise awareness about a condition affecting 30 million Americans
FRANKLIN PARK, ILL., December 3, 2008 –SUPERVALU PHARMACIES today announced that it will partner with the National Headache Foundation (NHF) to raise the public’s awareness about migraine headache and resources that are available to help sufferers and their family members.
“We are pleased with the opportunities this new partnership presents to educate the public about migraine as well as the resources available for sufferers and their family members,” said Suzanne Simons, NHF executive director.
Nearly 30 million Americans suffer from migraines. These agonizing headaches can be caused by a variety of triggers, including stress, food selections, environmental factors such as perfume or cigarette smoke, and even menstruation for many women. Most of these sufferers are not diagnosed or adequately treated, according to the American Migraine Prevalence and Prevention Study.
