Advertisements suggesting the beneficial effects of a variety of vitamins, minerals, and nutritional supplements as an effective treatment for headaches, these methods remain unsubstantiated in the medical literature.

The excessive ingestion of fat-soluble vitamins, such as vitamin A and D, and some water-soluble vitamins, including the various B vitamins and vitamin C, has the potential for serious side effects. Niacin may cause headaches. Longer and larger studies need to be conducted before we can recommend the use of Vitamin B-2 in this dosage.
