Request for Proposal Headache in Special Populations
Objective: To advance the care of the medically-undeserved population and minorities with headache.
Background: The National Headache Foundation is the premier educational and informational resource for headache sufferers, their families, physicians, allied healthcare professionals and health policy decision makers. Medically-underserved and minority groups do not receive optimal health care in general, and headache care, in particular. Furthermore, migraine and other forms of headache disorders have higher prevalence rates among the underserved and minority populations. These facts mandate a proactive approach to better understanding and managing headache disorders in these populations. Consequently, the National Headache Foundation is accepting study proposals that focus on programs addressing headache disorders among minorities and medically-underserved United States residents.
