Merle Diamond, M.D.

Dr. Merle Diamond is Associate Director at the Diamond Headache Clinic and Clinical Assistant Professor, Department of Medicine, at the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. Dr. Diamond attended Northwestern University, where she completed a residency program in both Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine. She is board certified in internal medicine, and has been trained and practiced in emergency medicine. Dr. Diamond is a recipient of the Subspecialty Certification for Headache Medicine from the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties.She has published numerous articles in various scientific journals, including Headache and Headache & Pain. Dr. Diamond has lectured extensively on various headache subjects, and in particular, the treatment of headache in the emergency department, and hormones and headache. In addition, Dr. Diamond serves on the editorial board of the Headache & Pain Journal. She also serves on the Advisory Board for the American Council on Science and Health. She is a member of the National Headache Foundation. With Doctor Glen Solomon, she was co-editor of Diamond and Dalessio’s The Practicing Physician’s Approach to Headache 6th Edition.
