Miles for Migraine, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, may be more known for the running events hosted across the country, but the organization will do more to promote education in March.
In a continued effort to increase awareness and education, Miles for Migraine is hosting Migraine & Headache Education Day on Saturday, March 25, 2017 near Philadelphia. The event is an opportunity to meet others in the migraine and headache community for a day of learning. The work of Miles for Migraine was previously featured in HeadWise.
According to the Miles for Migraine website, the event “will be about creating community and sharing knowledge for people with migraine and other headache disorder, and for their families and loved ones.” Participants will learn more about coping strategies, advocacy, stigma, and research from local doctors and other providers.
The event is more than just lectures, however. According to the website, participants will have a time to meet and learn from others.
Registration is now open for the event that goes from 9:30am – 4:00pm at Lankenau Medical Center in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania.
For those who are not in the Philadelphia area or unable to attend, Miles for Migraine encourages you to join them for a live stream event that day.
