Chad J. Beste is a Partner and manages the consulting division of Professional Business Consultants, Inc. (“PBC”), a provider of management consulting and accounting services to healthcare professionals and related healthcare concerns. Chad has been with PBC for 9 years, all of which have been in his current role. Chad is an astute veteran of the healthcare industry and brings over 28 years of experience to PBC.
Chad and his team provide a wide range of management consulting services to the healthcare community. Several examples include the merger and ongoing management of multiple previously small practices into larger organizations such as orthopaedics, urology, obstetrics/gynecology, gastroenterology, dermatology, primary care and multispecialty organizations. In addition, Chad has advised numerous hospitals on the development and implementation of their physician and alignment strategies. Also, PBC provides interim management services, managed care contracting, HR consulting, practice operations and governance-related services.
Immediately prior to joining PBC, Chad was employed by MedPartners and its succeeding organization in Chicago, The DuPage Medical Group. Serving as the VP of Business Development, he was responsible for business development and managed care in the Central region. Chad was responsible for numerous improvements and played a lead role in both acquiring and divesting various physician practices.
Prior to MedPartners, Chad worked for Aetna Healthcare for 15 years in a wide variety of capacities, including sales management and network management. Chad was responsible for all aspects of Aetna’s Chicago network and, during his tenure; the plan tripled its membership and doubled the number of participating providers. Prior to coming to Chicago, Chad was the General Manager of Aetna’s Minneapolis market where has was responsible for all sales and customer management activities. Also, Chad led the overall corporate initiative in developing a new product/service offering for middle market customers as part of a larger managed care strategy for the organization.
Chad graduated with a Bachelor in Arts degree in Business Administration, Economics, and Psychology from Westminster College. Chad is a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist and a member of MGMA. He is a frequent speaker on healthcare-related issues and has also served on several organizations’ Board of Directors.
Chad resides in Wheaton, IL with his wife and three children. Chad is an avid golfer and enjoys reading history.
In recognition of his excellent and enduring service to the National Headache Foundation, Chad was the recipient of the Executive Chairman’s Award in 2012.
